Desafio No Morro (seg d)
Pushing Boundaries’ Mayleen Ramey and Pat Parnell highlight the final round of the 2009 Red Bull Desafio no Morro (Favela Downhill) Mountain Bike event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is an unprecedented mountain bike downhill competition inside a “favela” (slum) in Rio de Janeiro, racing down the 760 meters of the favela’s alleys and staircases. This segment highlights Gee Atherton, who held top score coming out of the qualifying round, but a flat tire in the finals ruled him out for this year. Filip Polc instead came in first.
