Tai Fu
From July until September each year Japan lives in fear of Tai-Fu- or typhoons – that are capable of taking lives and devastating coastlines. Armed with tow boards, skis and helicopter, veterans Ross Clarke-Jones, Ian Walsh and Tom Caroll charge into the chaos for a surgical strike that redefines big wave surfing in Japan, where the waves can top 15ft and reach speeds of 70mph. Also includes comments from meteorologist and surf forecaster Ben Matson.
